Daddy Fox - Synopsis & Cast (below)

A psychological thriller based on a true story.

Three lads: Nick, Malc and Tony, go on the run to Corfu to escape the attentions of the British Police. They are accused of a crime that they did not commit.

The Story: Maggie has psychotic behavioural problems. She manages 'Maggie's Bar' which is owned by her three brothers; Graham, Mick and Phil.
Maggie becomes the instigator of two murders.

Her three brothers carry out one of the murders. They are led to believe that their sister Maggie, had been raped. The truth is; the man rejected her.

Maggie convinces her brothers, to carry out a vengeful, torturous murder.

Six months later, Nick finishes his own short relationship with Maggie.
He considers her to be a 'bit unusual'. Soon after parting with Maggie, Nick goes to 'Maggie's Bar' to collect some of his belongings, with friends; Malc and Tony. Maggie's brother Phil picks a fight with Nick in the bar.

Phil is openly violent and aggressive, Nick responds by simply pushing Phil away. As a result of his fall, Phil bangs his head on the floor of the Bar, and is hospitalised in a comatose state. As Phil lies unconscious in his hospital bed, Maggie is seen murdering him. After injecting a deadly amount of insulin into his drip feed, Maggie strokes her brother's head affectionately.

The lads Nick, Malc and Tony are implicated in Phil's murder, mercilessly carried out by his sister Maggie.

Two determined Police officers interview Malc and Tony, but cannot trace Nick, who has gone into hiding with the help of his Father - 'Dodger'.
Malc and Tony however, are released from custody, but told to report back in 24 hours for further questioning.

Due to his absence, the Police believe that Nick is obviously involved in the two murders, and try unsuccessfully to find him.
Rather than risk being locked away for a crime that they did not commit, Dodger advises the lads to go on the run.
The lads take Dodger's advice, and flee to Corfu.

They stay in an apartment, which Dodger owns in the west of Corfu. In the holiday resort of 'Aghios Georges'
Whilst enjoying the delights of Corfu, with other holidaymakers, they are oblivious to the horrifying events taking place back in England...

Maggie's two remaining brothers, Mick and Graham, are hell bent on revenge for the death of their brother Phil.

They obviously believe Nick is to blame, because he pushed Phil in the 'bar fight'.Back home, the murderous brothers hold Nick's father and step mum (Joanne) hostage, in an anxious effort to discover where Nick has fled.
Nick's Father Dodger, is severely beaten, but does not tell where his son is. Dodger finally gives in and tells them, when Joanne is threatened at knifepoint.

Maggie's brothers in Corfu then track down the lads.

After much mayhem, the lads decide to go back to England and face the British judicial system. The lads are confined to prison for 5 months before their case comes to court. Two female Barristers Lauren and Jean, take on the defence case of Nick, Malc, and Tony.

These clever Barristers, break the rules to discover the truth about Maggie.
Maggie is still intent on revenge, as she will not forgive Nick for 'using' her.
She has become even more emotionally disturbed, after having an 'affair' with one of the police investigating officers of the murder cases - Caulfield.
Caulfied employs psychological tactics with Maggie... But Maggie has become emotionally attached to him, unaware that he too, is close to uncovering the truth.

Maggie becomes increasingly tormented by her past; 'Daddyfox' as always, is constantly on her mind. As we near the climax of the film, 'Daddyfox' provides us with incredible plot twists, as well as a truly unpredictable ending. The story has a relentless pace, and tells a powerful and haunting tale. We are all, at times, victims of circumstance.

Circumstances which inevitably begin to spiral out, way beyond our own control.
